Commentarus:
It's not unheard of for a mage, particularly say a WHM or a BRD to come here at 60, although I remember as a RDM60, I had noticable difficulty landing my debuffs on the Tragopans. In addition, while there are also three campsites, I really don't think I'd want to be the third party down here, although it has been done before.

My personal preference for a camp would be that little passageway. Not only is it relatively safe from outside Hobgoblin aggro, there is also a convenient Tragopan pop right behind you, just waiting to be saved for a Chain #5.

Alternatively, the party may want to try closing a chain with a Hobgoblin, since they have a higher base xp, in addition to blowing themselves quite often (or at least, they seem to blow up a lot more here than elsewhere). Just remember to keep the Hobgoblin Fascinators (BLM) Silenced. Also, be very careful not to pull any Hobgoblin Animaliers if there are any Tropical Rarabs around, for they will link with the Goblin's Rarab and together, will probably wipe your party.

I would opt to get exp chains in that 7~10 minutes, rather then one long fight.

go to the southeern part as the exp from the northern dhamels starts to drop.
